VS 2015 (Not Responding) after instaling dotConnect for MySQL v 8.17.1612

Uninstalled dotConnect for MySQL v 8.12.1253. Then, installed new dotConnect for MySQL version 8.17.1612. Now, VS 2015 is just stuck after launch. Its sign-on message says, "Preparing Solution...". VS 2015 was working fine with the older dotConnect for MySQL v 8.12.1253. At this point, VS 2015 has been in this "Preparing Solution..." state for over an hour! Has anyone observed this problem? Any solution(s)? Thanks for any suggestions.

1. Right-click on your "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe" > Run as administrator. Is it launched successfully in this case?
2. Uninstall dotConnect for MySQL, navigate to VS2015 > Help > About, press Copy Info, and
send us the corresponding information.
3. Right-click on dcmysql817pro.exe > Run as administrator and follow the steps of the wizard. Try running your VS2015 again both ways - by launching devenv.exe and by double-clicking *.sln. Does it work now?
