dotConnect MySQL dll's

Post by ChristianHaase » Fri 12 Aug 2016 06:25

Hello forum!

I recently downloaded a trial for dotConnect MySQL, as I'm trying to find a MySQL connector for the .net core technology, as Microsoft are still developing theirs. After downloading, I followed the installation steps for Visual Studio (I didn't seem to work automatically), that I found int he documentation here:

https://www.devart.com/dotconnect/mysql/docs/

I can't seem to locate the dll's though: the Devart.Data.MySql.dll and Devart.Data.dll

Where exactly can I find these?

Our roadmap includes .NET Core. There is no any timeframe for the feature at the moment. We will notify you about the progress.

Strange, I thought it already included .net Core. I read an article from MSDN where it mentioned you and that you had a payed provider for MySQL to .net Core.

Maybe you have read about EF Core which is being developed by Microsoft for the following target platforms:
  • .NET 4.5.1 and higher -> EF Core for this platform is supported by dotConnect for MySQL
  • .NET Core -> planned
  • Universal Windows Platform -> under review

Devart is glad to announce the release of dotConnect for MySQL 8.9 with support for .NET Core: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35437.
