Is there any plan to support the new "SimpleMembershipProvider"?

The SimpleMembershipProvider support is on our roadmap. But there is no timeframe at the moment. The issue was also discussed at http://forums.devart.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=24826.

I'm a long time, paid up, user of your dotConnect for MySQL product and, for me at least, without ExtendedMembership support I don't see any compelling reason to renew my subscription.

We are going to add the SimpleMembership support in dotConnect for MySQL in the nearest future. We will post here when it is implemented.

Since it has been about a month since this was last updated, is there any updates as to when this will be implemented?

Also, when it is done, will PostgreSQL be supported as well?

We are planning to implement the SimpleMembership support in dotConnect for MySQL in 2 weeks.

Wow, that's the shortest two weeks I've ever seen :) I found an alternative solution... couldn't wait for you guys (deadlines don't move I'm afraid). So I'm now using my own solution based on the support provided in the "Connector/Net" package provided, free of charge, on the MySQL web site. I was really happy with your product and would NEVER have looked for an alternative had you guys not dropped the ball.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
If you decide to try our ExtendedMembership Provider in ASP.NET MVC 4 Application, please refer to

No problem. I'm sure that I'll soon need some other of the functionality in your product - your service and support has always been good.
