Refresh model, trial license, Mono usage

Post by tobiasly » Tue 09 Mar 2010 16:27

I installed the latest version of DotConnect Professional for MySQL a few months back and decided not to buy since I wasn't pleased with the Entity Designer, mostly because I couldn't find a way to refresh the schema from the database if I made changes there (add/change a column or table, etc.)

I see that there is a new beta which has an improved Entity Developer that is integrated into Visual Studio, but when I installed and ran it, it said my trial expired.

1. Is refreshing the schema from the database, while not wiping out any customizations I have already made, possible yet?

2. If so, is it possible to reset my trial period so I can try this out?

3. If I generate a schema using Entity Designer, and then access this schema using LINQ to MySQL (not Entity Framework), is it then still possible to run these assemblies under Mono?

1. We are working on the update from database wizard.
Unfortunately, we don't have any timeframe for it.
3. The Mono testing is in progress at the moment. I will post here about the results.
