You do not have to install any additional assemblies.
Just add CoreLab.MySql.* components to component palette.

You should add new category for Component Palette (right-click on it and select appropriate command in the popup menu). Then add to this category installed .NET components (select appropriate command in the popup menu, then select all CoreLab.MySql.* components from the list of installed components).

of course I can read the delphi manual:
I created a new category , but the following menu item "installed component' this menuitem is missing (even not grayed out)
Also when I chosse installed Net components from the delphi main menu
(component/installed net component ) I do not see the crlab component installed.
The installation was ok without any problem and I find the files installed under the default directory setting proposed by corelab
So what can I do next ???

If you do not see the components in the list click on "Select An Assembly" button in "Installed .NET Components" dialog.
