Why do I need more than MySQL Connector?

I installed the latest version of the MySQL Connector (5.2). It's free and seems to work out of the box with Visual Studio 2008. I can create tables, modify them, add data, create datasets, etc...

What is the real benefit of purchasing Devart's MyDirect.NET and/or dbForgeFusion for MySQL? Does it just give you a few extra things?

I'm thinking about dishing out the $$$$ but I'm not sure I see the benefit yet...

Thanks!
