Hi all,

Ever since installing MyDirect Pro (clean install, licensed version) I'm getting several (5-10) message boxes saying "Value does not fall within the expected range" whenever I go to a project's properties page in Visual Studio 2005 and/or switch tabs in the properties page.

This happens only when MyDirect is installed on the system - uninstalling and trying again fixes the problem. As soon as I re-install MyDirect, the errors show up again. Strangely enough, this problem occurs with any project, not just the projects that have a reference to CoreLab.MySql.

Any idea what's going on here?

Below is a list of what's installed on my system with regards to Visual Studio, please let me know if one needs more information.

Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this problem.
Try to debug it using another instance of VS IDE.

I just spotted a bunch of other instances of the MyDirect assemblies in various directories on my machine (all different versions) which I guess are left-overs from previous installations of the product. I've removed the duplicates and everything appears to be working properly again so it looks it was just a conflict with older versions.

Hopefully this post will help someone who encounters the same problem; I remember my Google search returning 0 usable entries on this issue

I am also having this problem, i installed 4.20.17 first and then 4.20.18 over that installation without uninstalling 4.20.17. During both install wizards I used all of the defaults. I can't figure out how to fix it, but maybe this will help in recreating the problem.

I also tried installing the trial version 4.20.18 of MyDirect on another machine that never had any CoreLab drivers installed on it before. I used all of the default settings during the install wizard.

When I open up Visual Studio 2005 pro and open an existing solution and go to a project's property page (right click on a project in the solution viewer and click on properties) I still receive those 5-10 dialog boxes saying "Value does not fall within the expected range."

Uninstall the versions you can uninstall the normal way, open a project, right-click it, click "Add reference", open up the .NET tab and check for duplicate entries with a different version number. Just slide the scrollbar to the right and you'll see its location. Just remove the assemblies manually and be sure to check the GAC as well.

Once you've done all that, just install the newest version and you should be settled

That worked for me, at least.

I had this same problem with OraDirect 4.2 and OraDeveloper 2.5. I uninstalled OraDeveloper 2.5 and the problem went away.

Please wait for MyDirect .NET 4.20.19.
We think we have fixed this weird problem in it.

Hey Iad, I tried all of the fixes suggested on this thread, and they didn't work. I followed Alexey's advice to download the latest build, MyDirect 4.20.19.0, and the "Value does not fall within the expected range" popups are gone. Hope it works out for you, too.

Has there been any progress made with this, or further information available? I experience this problem as well.

Clean installs on new system:
Windows XP Pro (SP2)
Visual Studio 2005 V 8.0.50727.762
MyDirect 4.20.18 (not sure how to upgrade to 4.20.19 referenced above)
Janus GrixEX.NET V 3.5.0.3 (possibly irrelevant)
