Speed comparison with MySQL's own net connector

Has Devart done an objective speed comparison between the Devart dotConnectMySQL connector and the one available from MySQL's own web site? My web application is very database intensive and I'm looking for ways to make it more responsive as it handles a lot of data. It seems pointless to spend a lot of time experimenting if the answer is already known.

We haven't done a comprehensive performance comparison of dotConnect for MySQL and MySQL Connector/Net. We recommend you to download the trial version of dotConnect for MySQL and compare its performance with the one of MySQL Connector/Net for your tasks. If our provider is slower for some reason, we will appreciate your feedback so that we can investigate and fix the problem.
