Devart team is glad to announce that now application development for SQL Server became really cross-platform with Devart Data Access Components for Delphi.
The new versions of SDAC and UniDAC got the capability to connect to SQL Server directly via TCP/IP in the Direct Mode without usage of client libraries. Microsoft doesn't provide any client libraries for Mac OS X, iOS or Android. So far it was impossible to establish connection to SQL Server from any platform except Windows. SDAC 7.0 and UniDAC 6.0 break these restrictions and allow to establish connection to SQL Server not only from Windows, but from Mac OS X, iOS and Android as well.
The new UniDAC version also includes support for Nexus Embedded and 64-bit DB2 client.
