Unexpected datatype 29

Post by dataplan » Thu 19 Jun 2014 13:54

Just tried the new version 6.4.6 to test if the problem with application hangs on exit is solved. Obviously not!

And with every new version new problems arise.
This time "Unexpected datatype 29" when using the new drivers with Delphi 2007 and the application uses runtime packages. I insisted, that the "old" bug with "Unexpected datatype 25" should be fixed, because it's still there, when the application uses runtime packages. And now new bugs are introduced.

Our patience is running out with DevArt. Every year we are paying money to update and we are still unable to go productive with our environment, because of application hangs and other bugs caused by DevArt drivers. And you guys are unwilling to fix these bugs. Every time asking for more information and sample projects and nothing happens.

The last version of your drivers which is almost stable is 4.25.0.8
Since then the quality dropped rapidly.
Are you guys testing your modifications or do you just release new versions and hope that we are not just paying money, but also play beta tester for you?

:!:
I repeat:
Fix the problem with application hangs on exit, when SQLTrace is activated.
Fix the problem with "Unexpected datatype 25/29" when application is using runtime packages.
(All these problems occur when using Delphi 2007, and perhaps above.)

We won't send you more sample applications, just do your work and test yourself. We provided you with all the information!

We can't reproduce the described issue on the latest version of dbExpress driver for SQL Server. Please download and update your driver version to 7.0.1 and let us know if the issue repeats. The latest version download is available at: https://www.devart.com/dbx/sqlserver/download.html .
