Any Plans for DBX5 driver?

Post by HK » Mon 25 Aug 2008 16:53

Hello Guys.

Any plans for DBX5 driver for Delphi 2009?
Because DBX5 do not require a DLL anymore. You can put the driver in a DCU.

Thanks,
Mauricio

We will implement the support for Delphi 2009 in DbxSda after 2 - 3 weeks of its release.

We have no plan to release beta versions of dbExpress drivers before Delphi 2009 release.

Hi, Delphi's been released for three weeks now. Our company is about to buy the driver but we are waiting for the support. We got the old version running in Delphi 2009, but didn't get the Unicode to run. The driver from trial Enterprise 2009 works, so it must be the driver settings thing. We got the same driver running in Delphi 2007 sort of running with Unicode support (we had to access unicode fields as dataset.FieldByName('xxx').AsWideString and really hope this will be better with the new version). My boss is waiting for the driver to be released to move to the Delphi. Are you finalising the new version? Thanks for the info.
