Hi !

We are using dbExpress, Delphi 6 and SQL Server 2000.

After installing SP1 on our Windows 2003 Enterprise Servers, all dbExpress connections do not work anymore. All worked fine before.

When setting Connected property to True on SQLConnection components, the programm is freezed for some time, then closes without any error message and without raising an exception ?!?

Do you have any idea whats going on ?

problem seem to be fixed by installing the very latest version on the customer site

On one of our customer's sites we seem to be encountering the same problem. We are using version 1.86 of the dbexpress Driver. We are using Delphi 6 and SQL 2000 and running the application on a Windows 2003 SP1 server with Terminal Services.

Is there anyway of tracing/trapping errors when the dbexpress driver fails to connect? As previously mentioned the application just exits with no error. We cannot easily upgrade to the latest dbexpress driver at the moment as the application would require regression testing before releasing it. To confuse matters the customer has one of their servers successfully working with the seemingly the same config??

Can you tell me the ports that the dbexpress drivers connect via....? Are you aware of any incompatibilities with MDAC 2.8?

It's known problem and we've already fixed it. Please download the last DbxSda version.
