High memory utilization

Post by UmeshKirve » Wed 04 Nov 2020 10:57

Hi Team,

Three weeks back we have upgraded our application with Devart Dot Connect for Oracle from 9.6.646.0 to 9.13.1107.

But we had to rollback this upgrade, as we observe that, there is a severe high memory utilization on all our windows services which is occupying more 95% of memory.

Post rollback it becomes normal.

Following are the environment details on which our application runs:

Windows 2012 R2 Standard (64 bit)

Oracle Server Version : Oracle Database 19c Enterprise Edition Release 19.0

Oracle Client : 12.2

.Net Framework : 4.7

Entity Framework : 4.0

Can you please let us know, if you faced similar issues with any other customers. If yes, what is the remedy, do you have any patch?

We need to reproduce the issue in our environment so that we can investigate and fix it.

Could you please localize the problem in a test application and send it to us with the corresponding DDL/DML script?

The bug with memory leak when running a lot of queries in the OCI mode is fixed in dotConnect for Oracle v9.14.1180: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=44351.
