We understand your situation. However, at the moment we cannot reproduce the issue consistently. On some Oracle Clients OCI is about 30% faster than Direct, as you described. With other Oracle Clients the Direct mode is either faster or has the same performance. Please tell us the full version of your Oracle server and Oracle Client.

Oracle server version:
- Oracle Database 10g Release 10.1.0.2.0 - Production
Oracle client version (for OCI mode tests)
- 64-bit Windows: Version 11.2.0.1.0
- 32-bit Windows: Version 10.2.0.1.0
(both with same results)

We made big changes to our provider to improve performance in the Direct mode. We will create an internal build with these changes in the near future and send it to you. We will post here when the build is ready.

We finally could perform our tests: there has been a huge improvement in Direct Mode performance, but it is still quite slower that OCI mode.
We have provided all the results to your Support Team via email.
Please share that info with your development team, and several questions in order to continue with this matter:
- Estimated date for obtaining an official DevArt version that implements these performance improvement changes
- Will DevArt continue working on this matter? The performance diference is still noticeable.
