Quartz.NET using dotConnect for Oracle

Post by devartRR » Tue 29 Dec 2015 16:42

Has any body tried to use dotConnect for Oracle as the DB provider for Quartz.NET scheduling service? If so what does the configuration in general and connection string in particular look like?

JIC: our provider supports standard ADO.NET interfaces. If you encounter any provider specific issue, please give us its detailed description.

Actually figured it out. Here is how

1. If you are using TNSnames.ora file then use it like this

<add key="quartz.dataSource.default.connectionString" value="Data Source=tnsfile-entry;User Id=xxxxxxxxx;Password=xxxxxxxxx"/>

2. if you do not have tns names file - use it like this
<add key="quartz.dataSource.default.connectionString" value="Data Source = (DESCRIPTION = (ADDRESS_LIST = (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = hostname)(PORT = 1521)))(CONNECT_DATA =(SERVICE_NAME = service_name)));User Id=xxxxxxx;Password=xxxxxxxxxx;"/>
