Oracle RAC failover will crash program ( DIRECT= FALSE)

Post by software931 » Mon 24 Aug 2015 11:38

We are using DevArt Oracle DOT.NET 8.4.457 pro.
Program is a windows Form Application C# VS2013.
We are not using DIRECT mode, because the database is Oracle 12.1.0.1 Windows RAC(!)-System.
When we test the Failover, we get a General Application fault and not an exception in a try catch block which we can handle.
In idle mode I have expected, that the failover will not get any problems.
If we are inside a transaction , when failover occures, I would accept an oracle exception.
We have locally installed Oracle Client 12.1.0.1 and have also tested Client 12.1.0.1 with the same result.

Which experience do you have with RAC failover?
Does it working properly, if your are connected by Devart?

We cannot reproduce the problem at the moment (checked with our tutorial).

Please get more information (a detailed call stack and all inner exceptions) about the error you are experiencing in the way like it is described at http://forums.devart.com/viewtopic.php?t=21136.
