System.OutOfMemoryException in Devart.Data.Oracle (6.60.258.0)

Post by fldkneip » Thu 24 Oct 2013 10:28

Hi,

We receive an out of memory exception when we try to read an OracleDataReader with this stack trace:
at Devart.Data.Oracle.OracleDataReader.a()
at Devart.Data.Oracle.OracleDataReader.Read()

We didn't find information about this on the internet.

We think that the issue occurs when the method a() executes new bytes[this.i * this.q].

Do you have any suggest about this issue ?

Thank you for your help.
Regards,

Florent

Probably the reason of the issue is that you are trying to read the data, size of which is greater than the amount of RAM available to your application. It is also possible that, since you use the dotConnect for Oracle of version 6.60.258, the issue is fixed in newer dotConnect for Oracle versions. Please try using the latest version of dotConnect for Oracle. You can download dotConnect for Oracle Trial from our site http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/oracle/download.html and test your application.
