dbExpress driver for Oracle included in BDS 2006?

Post by labate » Tue 19 Sep 2006 10:12

Hello,

Just because it is confusing for me. Is this necessary to buy and install dbExpress driver for Oracle with Borland Developer Studio 2006 Architect?

Because I've seen in its feature matrix on the Borland web site :
"dbExpress server connectivity to Oracle® 10g".

Is that component included in the IDE?

Thanks.

Yes, BDS 2006 contains dbExpress driver for Oracle from Borland. But our (Core Lab's) dbExpress driver for Oracle has some advantages in comparison with Standard driver. One of them is Net option that allows to connect to Oracle server without Oracle client installed.
