If I upgrade to a newer RAD Studio version

Post by BugTrapper » Wed 06 Dec 2017 12:01

Hello,
if I install for example MyDAC for RAD Studio XE6 and then develop a Delphi project under XE6.
If I then copy my Delphi Project to another machine, where MyDAC for RAD Studio Tokyo is installed, can I work with my Project without any problems, or do I have to replace all the components on my Delphi form to the new ones, or will they be automatically converted ?? That question comes to my mind because you have different Installation exe for all different RAD Studio Versions. And how is it, if I go vice versa, from Tokyo backwards with the Project to XE6, do I have to modify the Project in any way ?

and 2nd question:
do you have any introduction or tutorial Videos for MyDAC, or similar Videos for UniDAC etc. and some links for it ??

Thanks in advance

To work with a project that uses MyDAC (UniDAC) components on different IDEs, it's enough to install MyDAC (UniDAC) on these IDEs. In this case, you should not change the project.
A video of using UniDAC is available at our website: https://www.devart.com/unidac. You can get information about using MyDAC (UniDAC) at our website: https://www.devart.com/mydac/docs/index.html, https://www.devart.com/unidac/docs/index.html
