Trial expired immediately on fresh install

Postby rbeeston » Wed 25 Jan 2017 14:50

I'm trying to test out EntityDAC and UniDAC... downloaded both (today) installed both on for the first time ever on a newly installed Delphi XE 10.1.
Loaded the EntityDAC demo.. got two popups saying you've 60 days of tril. Compiled press run... appears to work ok. Press "Get Single Entity", "Get entity by ID".. get a ETrailExpired exception.

So basically the trials are useless.... not a good start in my evaluation.

Is there somewhere else to download a fresh new working trial of these things?

Hello,

If you use our demo project, you need to uncomment the following strings in the EntityDemo.dpr file:

Code: Select all
EntityDAC.DataProvider.UniDAC, UniDacVcl,
OracleUniProvider, SQLServerUniProvider, MySQLUniProvider, InterBaseUniProvider, PostgreSQLUniProvider, SQLiteUniProvider,

What if you are not using the demo project. I looked at the Demo project and it was a 2008 project and really doesn't map to modern development. How do I get the trial working in general, so I can evaluate the tool?

P.S. The first EntityDAC release was on Oct 11, 2014
