architecture, license

I have two questions:
1. I found this in the help file:
"With ODBC, OLE DB and MS Access you do not have to care about the data provider version. "
If I have a ms access database connecting to db2 (ODBC linked tables), can I use UniDirect Mobile on Pocket PC (version CE 4.2) to access the ms access db?

2. if the above answer is yes, which license should I acquire?

Similar to my previous question, I would like to ask:

1. If I am using UniDirect Mobile .NET (on PPC with CE 4.2), is it possible for me to connect to SQLServer 2005 and/or SQLServer 2005 Express, by having SQLDirect.NET installed in the database server?

2. Similarly, if I am using UniDirect Mobile .NET (on PPC with CE 4.2), is it possible for me to connect to DB2 on V5R2 with DB2.NET (DB2 Connect) installed on a PC Server?

If both does not work, will CE 4.2 replaced with CE 5.0 works?

Thanks!!!

No, you can not. UniDirect .NET Mobile can work only with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL servers.
If I am using UniDirect Mobile .NET (on PPC with CE 4.2), is it possible for me to connect to SQLServer 2005 and/or SQLServer 2005 Express, by having SQLDirect.NET installed in the database server?
No, it is not possible to use SQLDirect .NET here. You should use standard MS SQL Server provider for mobile.
Similarly, if I am using UniDirect Mobile .NET (on PPC with CE 4.2), is it possible for me to connect to DB2 on V5R2 with DB2.NET (DB2 Connect) installed on a PC Server?
No, it is not possible. DB2 is supported only in desktop edition of UniDirect .NET.
