Linq connect with MariaDB as backend

Post by lc4pro » Thu 27 Mar 2014 22:58

I have the latest build of Linq Connect Professional.
I would like to know how it's compatible with a MariaDb backend, and in case the answer is affirmative, which versions of the engine must be used.
Also, if some limitations apply.
I'm in the process of developing my DB, using Model First.

dotConnect for MySQL supports MySQL server versions 6.0, 5.6, 5.5, 5.4, 5.1, 5.0, 4.1, 4.0 and 3.23 including Embedded servers (starting with 4.1), 64-bit MySQL servers, Percona, and MariaDB.
LinqConnect Professional edition includes express versions of Devart providers, e.g. dotConnect for MySQL, and, thus, supports MariaDb as well. For example, you could use LinqConnect with MariaDb 5.5.
