dotConnect for PostgreSQL and .NET Core

Post by mateuszmcz » Tue 24 Jan 2017 21:21

Hi,

Have a question about dotConnect for PostgreSQL 7.7 with .NET Core for cross platform. Are dlls like Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Entity.EFCore or Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Entity.EFCore.Design from dotConnect for PostgreSQL 7.7 compatible with .NET Core? Or they are implemented only for full .NET Framework platform?

Kind Regards,
Mateusz

They are implemented only for full .NET Framework platform.

EF Core is being developed by Microsoft for the following target platforms:
.NET 4.5.1 and higher -> EF Core for this platform is supported by dotConnect for PostgreSQL
.NET Core -> in progress
Universal Windows Platform -> under review

We are working on the .NET Core support. There is no exact timeframe at the moment. We will notify you when the feature is implemented.
