I cannot understand. Even your sample do not work.
I use std40.
When i debug, i have this message:
CoreLab.PostgreSql.PgSqlException: Un argument non valide a été fourni
(invalid argument)

when i go further, i discover a CONNECTION FAILURE, code 08006.

It works fine with WinForms.

My firewall has been uninstalled without reboot : some port as blocked, even if the firewall was uninstalled
