Could not load type 'Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Web.Providers.PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider'

Hi,

I am getting the error the error: "Could not load type 'Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Web.Providers.PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider' from assembly 'Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Web, Version=6.7.301.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701'" when I try to run my website.

I had done all steps described by the tutorial named "Using ExtendedMembership Provider in ASP.NET MVC 4 Application" and everything went fine except by the last final step where it describes how to register PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider provider in web.config file.

The website works fine when I add the following lines to the web.config file:
Code: Select all
<membership defaultProvider="PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider"/>
<roleManager enabled="true" defaultProvider="PgSqlExtendedRoleProvider"/>

However, I get the error when I change it to:
Code: Select all
<membership defaultProvider="PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider">
  <providers>
    <remove name="PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider"/>
    <add name="PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider" type="Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Web.Providers.PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider, Devart.Data.PostgreSql.Web, Version=6.7.301.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701" connectionStringName="DefaultConnection" enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="true" requiresQuestionAndAnswer="false" requiresUniqueEmail="false" passwordFormat="Hashed"/>
  </providers>
</membership>
<roleManager enabled="true" defaultProvider="PgSqlExtendedRoleProvider"/>

I really don't know what is going wrong, please, help me.

Thanks!

Please change the version in the PgSqlExtendedMembershipProvider type definition: 6.7.301.0 -> 6.7.301.4. We will update our documentation.
