We recently purchased PostgreSQLDirect.NET and can not connect to the database. We get a license not valid exception.
Here is our setup:
- VS 2005
- We have several applications that use the same framework/dll to access the database.
- I created a licenses.licx file (attached), saved it to the projects directory, and added it to the Resources of the project.
- I also created a licenses.config (attached) and added it to the same project directory.
- I added CoreLab.Data and CoreLab.Data.PostgreSQL to the project's references
I then compiled and ran the first application we wanted to test with. That application includes the framework project in its solution.
When I try and open a connection I get the error:
"License not valid. Please view "Licensing" topic in PostgreSQLDirect .NET documentation for details or contact Core Lab technical support."
What am I missing? Do I need to put the developer license number somewhere?
Our application's executable has a space in the name, could that be the problem?
Thanks,
-Mont

By framework project I mean a project that produces a DLL used across several of our applications.
I will produce two test projects (one for the DLL and one for the exe).
