Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
Pretty new to Lazarus but I am able to install FB and SQLite Providers yet none of the MS Providers. So its either not yet supported or I haven't figured out how to
SQL-Server for Linux is installed on Ubuntu 16.10 and I can connect from a Windows machine and create/manage the db, can also do that using the MS Tools on Ubuntu but see no way to use UniDAC.

Re: Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
The problem with TSQLServerUniProvider installation on Lazarus for Linux was fixed in UniDAC 7.0.2.
Re: Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
That worked but the install button for VirtualQuery (vquery10) is no enabled.azyk wrote:The problem with TSQLServerUniProvider installation on Lazarus for Linux was fixed in UniDAC 7.0.2.
Re: Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
To install the TVirtualQuery component you should not separately install vquery10.lpk. This package is automatically installed when installing dclunidac10.lpk and the TVirtualQuery component will be located on the components palette on the Data Access tab.
Re: Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
Only TVirtualDataset and TVirtualTable are on that tab. A Component Find (Virtual) only shows those two and another Find (Query) only shows TUniQuery and TSqlQuery.azyk wrote:To install the TVirtualQuery component you should not separately install vquery10.lpk. Same when installing on Windows, here is the dialog that comes up, note not VirtualQuery:
[Window Title]
Automatically installed packages
[Content]
Installing the package dclunidac10 7.0.2 will automatically install the packages:
dcldac10 10.0.2
unidacvcl10 7.0.2
dacvcl10 10.0.2
unidac10 7.0.2
dac10 10.0.2

Re: Lazarus to Local MSSQL Linux?
It was a wrong message. Currently, the TVirtualQuery component does not support Lazarus for Linux.azyk wrote:To install the TVirtualQuery component you should not separately install vquery10.lpk.
