PRESERVE QUERY DESIGN LAYOUT

Post by IMTanuki » Sun 26 Feb 2017 01:26

Hi

I can't seem to keep the query design layout (with tables maintained in their original position in the diagram). Every time I edit a query, dbForge auto formats the diagram. It's kind of maddening to re-org my diagrams every time I need to change them.

Under Options / Database Diagram, I have preserve routing checked. This seems to be the only option that would govern auto-formatting...

Given everything else this tool does so well, I can't believe this would be an outstanding issue in 7.2.53.

What am I missing? Is there some other option / flag that would prevent auto-formatting?

Thanks in advance!

The location of the entities on the diagram is governed by the *.sql.design file that is, normally, saved in the same folder as the corresponding *.sql file. Please check that the file *.sql.design exists when opening the *.sql file.
