Reports for Administration Users

Post by mfriend » Thu 13 Nov 2014 19:28

I like the report functionality that is built into dbForge Studio for Oracle.
My question is (maybe I'm missing something) is there a way to let end users 'play' or update the report?

Example: say I design a nice report that shows the amount of hay (or whatever) was consumed the prior day. The Administration person who would be using the report would want to run it each day to get updated results (but has no need to change the structure of the report). Is there a report "player" in the works or am I missing something? I've learned how to export the report in html, etc., but I wouldn't want to have to do that each day.

We recommend you first to download a fully featured 30-day Trial version of the product and check if it fits your needs http://www.devart.com/dbforge/oracle/st ... nload.html

You can automate the process with help of the product's command line interface and, for example, Window Task Scheduler. Please refer to the 'Data Report' topic in the product's Help documentation and the following articles for help:

http://www.devart.com/dbforge/sql/studi ... ivery.html
http://blogs.devart.com/dbforge/how-to- ... ndows.html
http://www.devart.com/dbforge/mysql/stu ... ackup.html

The 'How to create simple Data Report using dbForge Studio for Oracle?' demo video on the webpage for another our product may be also helpful http://www.devart.com/dbforge/oracle/st ... -more.html

Please note that the command line interface is available only in the Professional Edition of dbForge Studio for Oracle. The full feature list for dbForge Studio for Oracle editions can be found at http://www.devart.com/dbforge/oracle/st ... tions.html

Also, you can type the following in the command line switch for help:
C:\Program Files\Devart\dbForge Studio for Oracle >dbforgeoracle.com /datareport /?
