Documentation problem - "Using MySQLDirect .NET in ASP.NET Provider Model" not in CHM help file?

Post by LVdB » Mon 11 Sep 2006 13:02

Hi,

I installed MySQLDirect.NET, but I cannot access the documentation that was installed with it. When I click the shortcut in the start menu, I get the following error message:

"Microsoft Document Explorer cannot be shown because the specified help collection 'ms-help://CoreLab.MySql' is invalid".

I cannot access the help through the IDE either, since I am using Visual Web Developer at the moment.

This would not be a problem if the mysqlnet.CHM file I downloaded would contain all the documentation, but I don't think it does. I have seen mention of the topic "Using MySQLDirect .NET in ASP.NET Provider Model" on this forum, but I cannot find it in the CHM file.

This makes it hard to set up the membership and role providers. Where can I find the documentation to do this?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Luc

There is a demo project demonstrating usage of web providers in our Samples.
About possible problems with CHM documentation take a look here: http://crlab.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2461.
Also i've sent you "Using MySQLDirect .NET in ASP.NET Provider Model" article by e-mail.

That is not the problem. I can view the CHM documentation, but the topic is not in there. Have you checked? I don't think it is included.

Thank you for that. Though I am worried about what else I might be missing from the documentation...
