MySQL Lib on Windows Vista?

Post by nux » Thu 07 Dec 2006 08:50

How difficult can it be???

I did some investigation nand found the problem in your License class.
But on the other hand I may just be speculating...

There is no problem with licensing. The problem is in installation.

MySQL Lib on Windows Vista?

Post by nux » Thu 07 Dec 2006 12:40

I did an upgrade from XP to Vista - so I had no need to re-install the CrLab assemblies...
When I try to use the CrLab components I get an exception with a stack trace that point to an unhandled exception in the License code.

What is the text of the exception?

What is the full version of MySQLDirect .NET you use (3.50.XX.X)?
poirazis, are you the same person as nux? Or you are working on the same project?

I am using 3.50.14, I also upgraded from WinXP to Vista. No I am not nuk, and no, not the same project. This error appears when I try to open a form in VS that has a MySQLConnection component on. This looks like a problem with the licencing class, I would assume.

Please give us an exact time by when it will be fixed or put a BIG notice on your website that could notify us and other users that your components are NOT Vista compliant!!!
