Trying to install MySQLDirect 3.xx Professional onto my new Laptop with Vista as the operating system. Have had no problems ever with XP.
How do I solve this issue?

We tested the current available for download build of MyDirect .NET v. 3.55
on Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Vista 64-bit and didn't encounter any
problems with installation process. Please specify your OS, the version of MyDirect .NET
and the error that you have received.

My OS on new Laptop is Vista.
Needed to do a
c:\Windows\System32>regsvr32 VBScript.DLL
to get it right to allow proper installation of mySQLDirect3.5
A Microsoft Help screen suggested it but I'm willing to take all the credit!

This library is required by the installer only.
It's likely the copy of Windows Vista didn't registered this (and some other) dlls
due to security policy. Once installed, MyDirect .NET itself doesn't use this library.
