4.20.19 not working

Postby iad » Sun 23 Sep 2007 13:55

don;t know what you did but this version is not good.
the VS don't recognize MySqlConnection and MySqlConnectionStringBuilder classes
i add all the refs.... nothing
i found out that
had version 4.20.15
( don't know if it OK or not)
the rest is 4.20.19

more than that, add MySQLCOnnection to the form cause an error of 'The path is not legal form

i removed it and install version 4.20.18 and all works fine
(beside the other bugs already in this version)

Please fix it ASAP

The versions you specified are correct. Make sure that there are no old assemblies on your system.
Try to do the following:
Stop Windows Installer service;
Delete key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products that corresponds to MyDirect .NET;
Delete key in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Assemblies that corresponds to CoreLab.MySql.dll;
Remove all CoreLab.* assemblies from GAC and from "%ProgramFiles%\Common Files\CoreLab\Data Providers\" folder;
Stop IIS service if you install Web demos virtual directories;
Remove \Program Files\CoreLab\MyDirect.NET folder.
After that install MyDirect .NET again.

Have you encountered any errors during the installation? Unfortunately, we cannot reproduce the problems you describe. Could you send me your project where MySqlConnection and MySqlConnectionStringBuilder classes are not recognized? Include all referenced assemblies. Use e-mail address from the Readme.txt file.
