Is the through the emulator or are you talking about connecting an actual device?

What version of active sync would I need for the Visual Studio 2005 with the pocket pc emulator????

ActiveSync 4.0 would definitely work with VS 2005.

How do perform the cravel action!! And how do I setup active sync to work with the emulator??

Choose "Tools --> Device Emulator Manager...". Right-click on "Pocket PC 2003 SE Emulator", choose "Connect". When it is connected, right-click again and choose "Cradle". You are done.
