Oracle Mobile CF Installer does not finish

Post by cat_millenium » Thu 08 Feb 2007 20:30

Hi,

The installer did not finish the installation progress of the trial version. The progressbar shows 100%, but the installer is not coming back. When I kill it, the next installer asks to roll back.
Therefore there is no valid license on that PC and I cannot test.
Could you help me?

Regards,

Please specify if this problem occurs when you are installing ODAC. If it does, supply us the following information:
- exact version of ODAC;
- exact version of Delphi, C++ Builder or Kylix;
- version of your operating system.

The problem is with the
Core Lab OraDirect .NET Mobile Data Provider Trial 3.55
oranetmob.exe, I downloaded from your website.

I try to install it on a Windows XP SP2.

Execute the next command and send us corelab.log file:
oranetmob.exe /v"/l*v corelab.log"
Use e-mail address provided in the Readme file.

How long do you think the analyses will take? I need to get this thing sorted. Is there any way to install the missing license manually?

We cannot reproduce the problem.
Try to remove OraDirect .NET manually:
Stop Windows Installer service;
Delete key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products that corresponds to OraDirect .NET;
Delete key in the registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Assemblies that corresponds to CoreLab.Oracle.dll;
Remove all CoreLab.* assemblies from GAC;
Stop IIS service if you install Web demos virtual directories;
Remove \Program Files\CoreLab\ folder.
After that you should install OraDirect .NET again.
