Can not find Oracle home

Can not find Oracle home

Postby kra28 » Tue 05 Dec 2006 20:56

I got the problem. Thank you for your suggestion.

When I try to connect to Oracle10g via OraDirect 3.5 and its
connection.Open();

I got:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.InvalidOperationException' occurred in CoreLab.Oracle.dll

Additional information: Can not find Oracle home.

I did not find a suggestion in this forum. Because the oracle client (ORACLE_HOME is set in the register) is installed I do not know what is the problem.

Because I need connect the Spatial option of Oracle, direct connection is unusable for me.

I get the problem at Windows 2003 Server x64 a Visual Studio 2005 .NET.

Thank you for your suggestion.

Seems like there is discrepancy in the digit capacity between your project and Oracle client. Should be both 32 or both 64.
Support of Oracle client x64 is added in the next major version of OraDirect .NET.
