Licensing error

Post by SkipFire » Thu 16 Nov 2006 19:13

I downloaded the trial and am trying to use it in a project, however as soon as an Oracle object gets created I get an error stating:
License not valid. Please view "Licensing" topic in OraDirect .NET documentation or contact Core Lab technical support.

I have not been able to find the documentation, though that may be because the installer errors out every time. How can I get this error to go away so I can see if it works?

Do you use OraDirect .NET for the first time?
Inform us, what steps (described in "Licensing" topic of our documentation) did you try to perform?

It is the first time I am trying to use the components, and I also stated that I could not find the documentation due to the installer not working correctly. The installer fails very near the end and before clicking OK for it to roll everything back I copied the Program Files\CoreLab directory

Please create small application with one OracleConnection and
license information. Send us sources and .exe, .dll files.

You haven't added licenses.licx file to your project. Please do this.

So where do I get that file? What do I need to put in it?

It depends on the type of project you create.
Please view "Licensing" topic in OraDirect .NET documentation.

As I have stated more than once in this thread, I do not have the documentation due to installer failure. I have looked but have been unable to find the documentation online.

"Licensing" article is too big to be posted on the forum, so please download our help documentation from here:
