dotConnect for Oracle and Reporting Services 2012

dotConnect for Oracle and Reporting Services 2012

Postby afaik » Fri 24 May 2013 09:28

I'have some trouble creating a new report using dotConnect for Oracle.

I can create a DataSource using dotConnect (Devart.Data.Oracle appears in the combobox) but when I want to add a new report using the new DataSource I'get the following error :
Unable to connect to data source 'SCHEMA_COMMON'.The selected data extension Devart.Data.Oracle is not installed or cannot be loaded. Verify that the selected data extension is installed on the client for local reports and on the report server for published reports.

I'm using Version 7.7.242.0 and here is the content of RSReportDesigner.config :
Data section :
<Extension Name="Devart.Data.Oracle" Type="Devart.Data.Oracle.ReportingServices.OracleConnectionWrapper, Devart.Data.Oracle.ReportingServices, Version=7.7.242.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701" />

<Extension Name="Devart.Data.Oracle" Type="Devart.Data.Oracle.ReportingServices.Design.OracleQueryDesigner, Devart.Data.Oracle.ReportingServices.Design, Version=7.7.242.1, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=09af7300eec23701" />

I have no problem using dotConnect in a SSIS package.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing the problem?

Thanks for the help in advance

SQL Server 2012 Reporting Services is supported in the new 7.8 version of dotConnect for Oracle!
It can be downloaded from http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/oracle/download.html (trial version) or from Registered Users' Area (for users with active subscription only).
