License not valid problem.

Post by Blaze » Sun 05 Aug 2012 14:47

Hello,
I'm installed a trial version of dotConnect provider, but unable to run my test application.

My steps:

1. Created new console application in visual studio 2010.
2. Switched from Client Profile to Framework 4.
2. Added reference to Devart.Data.Oracle.dll.
3. Via Tools -> Oracle -> License Information menu generated licenses.licx file.

Now my License Information window looks like this:

Every time that i'm calling OracleConnect class, i get exception:
License not valid due to the problems with dotConnect for Oracle installation.

Tried clean solution, rebuild, delete bin and obj, rebuild again, reinstall provider, reinstall and run on different computer - problem always the same.

Please advice.

Regards.

We could not reproduce the issue. Could you specify the following:
1. Does the issue persist if the value of Client Profile of Target Framework property is left unchanged?
2. The version and capacity of your operating system.
3. The exact version of dotConnect for Oracle;
4. Uninstall dotConnect for Oracle:
4.1. remove all Devart.* and policy.*.Devart.* files from the GAC;
4.2. clear the Program Files\Devart\dotConnect and Program Files\Common Files\Devart\dotConnect folders;
4.3. Install dotConnect for Oracle with parameter: dcoracle.exe /log=Install.log
4.4. The Install.log file will be created in the folder where the installation file is located. Please send us this file.
