Connection Fail with Direct=true;Unicode=true option

Post by binbox » Mon 23 May 2011 09:09

I am using dotConnect for oracle pro. 5.70.190.

We cannot connect to DB with this connection string, on Windows XP
When I turn off the Unicode or Direct option, it works fine.

And this problem occurs only on Windows XP.

How can I fix this problem?

1. Specify the exact text of the error message and your call stack.
2. Does the problem persist with the latest (6.30.160) version of dotConnect for Oracle? If you do not have access to the registered version of 6.30.160, try using evaluation version that can be downloaded from http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/oracle/download.html.
3. Tell us the version of your Oracle server.

4. Also please specify edition and service pack number of your Windows XP.
