Redistribution licence

Hi,

we are a customer and have built dotConnect for Oracle into a tool for comparing Oracle databases - www.red-gate.com/oracle

Our customers are now asking us for an SDK so that they can build their own apps using our technology.

What licence would we need to purchase from you to allow us to redistribute our dll's along with yours?

According to our EULA, the dotConnect for Oracle run-time assemblies can only be deployed with an application that uses them, and they should not be redistributed in any form that allows them to be reused by any other application.

Hi there

Many thanks for the reply. I have emailed your sales team. I did note that you have a component licence mechanism in addition to the standard licence. This would allow for some redistribution. Hopefully we can discuss a good way forward,

We are now analyzing the technical possibility for implementation of a suitable license mechanism; we will inform you when our investigation is completed.
