Licence for debugging ? For build machine ?

Post by jp.gouigoux » Mon 22 Jun 2009 09:19

I am considering buying of DotConnect for Oracle. I was wondering whether I need to buy a licence for those developpers of our team who are not going to use the provider, but debug the library that uses it. Also, do I need to buy a licence for our build machine ?

Thanks in advance for your answers,

The license is necessary only for the developers who will use our product. Developers who will debug the software that uses the Devart assemblies, don't need our license. If the build server is used only by the licensed users, you can install dotConnect for Oracle there. Otherwise, please compile the license separately on the machine where our provider is installed (http://www.devart.com/dotconnect/oracle ... nsing.html, the Compiling License Manually part), then add the compiled license to your application as an embedded resource at your build server.

We have sent you the end-user license agreement for dotConnect for Oracle by e-mail.
